Bengaluru, Sep 28: Two youngsters were killed on Friday, September 27 evening after they were hit by a train when they were capturing a video on TikTok. Another person was injured in this incident. The tragedy happened at a level crossing near R K Hegde Nagar here.
TikTok happens to be a mobile app that has become extremely popular with youngsters nowadays.
The young men whose callousness cost them their lives happened to be Abzad (19) and Mohammed Matti (22). While Abzad worked as a welder, Matti was working for a food delivery chain. These two, and Zalibulla (22), who suffered severe injuries in the accident, belonged to R K Nagar. Zalibulla is being treated in a hospital in the city.
Baiyappanahalli railway police who are investigating the case said that their probe so far found that the three men had reached the railway track near R K Hegde Nagar between Channasandra and Yalahanka. They were shooting for a video with TikTok app at around 5.30 pm on Friday with the Kolar - Chikkaballapur - Bengaluru passenger train in the background. They were planning to jump off the tracks just when the train was about to pass the spot where they were standing, but the train hit them before they jumped.
