All buses should run with door closed. Climbing on the top is illegal and those passengers should be fined heavily. People can walk a short distance like 1-3 miles which is good for their health.

    Resembles a Bombay type situation.

All this time the impression was created that Karnataka was a coastal area and there would never be an alternative mode of transportation other than road. It's high time the authorities changed their perception and went in for railway connectivity too. Get this fact right ...too much of influx of North Indians especially from Uttar Pradesh is burdening the saturated infrastructure of the coastal region. Tomorrow the very lives of regular commuters will be at stake should there be a shortage of buses to cater with the present situation.

This is not the regime of Congress where crimes and illegalities are condoned, concessionalized and ADMIRED!
Junk the bus, cancel the licence & road permit and set an example for the rest of the road maniacs.

    bechaara driver !!!!

sometimes, driver and conductor can not control rude passengers. If they dont allow excess passengers to get into bus, they might damage bus or even beat the driver and conductor!

hum karen toh kya karen? bole toh kya bolen???

Why all are talking about owner, driver and conductor !!! If thats last bus then how the passanger go home if he miss that bus ?? 2nd shift workers work till 9.30 or 10 then they got only one or two ladt buses, that means tgey dont have other options to go home. Peoples who travell aftrr 7 or 8 pm understands real problems. Better RTO and DC arrange government buses at night then slap fines on who ever they want...

Do you think a big job done by the police?? penalizing a poor driver ??
i don't think so ....bus has to be taken in to custody for a month so that owner know the pain.

What bus owner has done here? Isn't it responsibility of bus driver and conductor? Police should fine those who were hanging on footboard and behind the bus. Bus owners can't keep watch on the bus every minute. That why they pay for drivers and conductors.

As per me it is unfair to punish with such huge fines. If bus operators offloaded people, then how could they hav reached home as it was last bus?

Why can't they use alternative mode of transportation? It's unfair to fine bus driver alone. Mistake is of those passengers too. Even they should be penalized. If you have seen most of the times while traveling between Mangalore to karkala or mangalore to Udupi eve after conductors request passengers not to hang on foot board they don't listen to it.

Just because it is the last bus, it is not justified to allow passengers to climb bus ladder or travel on top of bus. A bus has specific number of passengers that can travel. If people are more nothing can be done. Rules are there for a purpose. If the bus was travelling overloaded and if accident occurs, you would have complained why did the driver and conductor allow people to hang on ladder and travel. That is why our indian justice system is not effective because we try to bend the rules as we like.

Good decision. Now drivers will stop overloading the bus because he will loose his license. Keep the confiscated bus in the police station for two weeks, so that Owner will also suffer monetarily. Police should check track of tempo and trucks which transport materials overhanging on all sides. It is really scary to drive behind such vehicles and you never know when those material specially pipes will slip from the vehicle.

It is not only drivers but conductors too must be punished as well.Driver alone cant lookout at the back.conductor has to issue ticket and let bus go as passengers are inside.so conductor too must get the fine.Usually he recieve the money without tickets many times.

I really DO NOT support this driver.

Just thinking in Mumbai local train some commuters are leaning out and travelling on top of the train, does the Motorman should be finalized for that ?

Train stops were made on remote areas far away from high ways, where ghosts may fea to reach at nights. Services shuttle bus wont run after 7 ....how worker should travell then?? Yermal highway express bus stop functioned for few days, then DC transfrered now no buses giving stop. Our SP , DC, political leaders might be busy in minting money, this chance may not get again......
