Belagavi, Sep 25: "We have not made an alliance with any other political party. We will contest independently in all the 15 legislative constituencies for which the by-polls are declared by the Election Commission. We will announce our candidates in the next two days," said former CM and senior leader of the Congress party Siddaramiah.
In the meantime, Siddaramaiah verbally attacked JD (S) and said, "JD (S) party was formed and nurtured by former PM H D Deve Gowda and me and not by H D Kumaraswamy. I also grew along with the party. Kumaraswamy entered the party later and then became MLA and CM."
"H D Kumaraswamy became the chief minister of the state not by my support but the support of the Congress party. I am not the one who got K H Muniyappa defeated in the Lok Sabha elections. Srinivas Gowda of JD (S) had openly said that he will not vote for Muniyappa. Where was Kumaraswamy when Srinivas Gowda gave such a statement?" questioned Siddaramiah.
Expressing his rage, Siddaramaiah said, "JD (S) party workers and leaders have themselves told us that Kumaraswamy insisted his party people to vote for BJP. What answer Kumaraswamy has for this accusation?"
