Bengaluru, Sep 23: The state BJP government led by chief minister B S Yediyurappa is on the verge of discarding the social and education report prepared at a cost of Rs 148 crores.
A committee was formed by the Siddaramaiah-led Congress government, under the leadership of Kantaraju, to take a census of people of the state who are socially and economically backward. The committee has studied this for four years and made the report ready.
The expenses incurred in preparing this report is a whopping Rs 148 crores. But it seems that the BJP government is ready to throw this report into the dust bin. Chairman of backward commission M H Kantaraju says that If the government implements the report that is readied by the committee led by him, it will benefit people of all castes.
