Mangaluru, Sep 17: Thieves who gained entry into a house at Bengre near Panambur stole gold ornaments and a cellphone. The family members, who were fast asleep, came out of the slumber on hearing sounds. At that time, the thieves took to their heels, it is learnt. The theft happened on Sunday.

Four golden finger rings, a bracelet, a pair of small eye hangings, a Samsung cellphone and about Rs 10,000 in cash were stolen, it is gathered. A complaint in this regard was registered in Panambur police station by the house owner, Zakia Banu.
