Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru (MS)

Mangaluru, Sep 15: Thieves decamped with gold ornaments worth Rs 35 lac and Rs 65,000 in cash from the apartment of Nityananda Shetty, which is on the sixth floor of a residential complex near SCS Hospital of Bendore in the city.

Nityananda Shetty and his family had gone out of town on September 8. The theft came to light only on September 13, when they were back in town.

The thieves have reportedly entered into the house by breaking the grills of the ventilator. Then they broke open the lock of the locker and stole the gold ornaments as well as cash, said sources.

A case in this connection is registered in the Kadri police station according to the complaint given by Anita Shetty, wife of Nityananda Shetty owner of the apartment.

In every residential apartment there is security or watchman. Impossible to enter a outside thief. May be this is insiders job.

I am surprised!!! . When flats means always watchman and security is there . And this is on 6th floor. CC camara must install in all flats. Lot of laps always give scope for these things.

If you keep money and jewellery in bank the govt will take it away in the name of white and black, if you invest it people like IMA will eat it and run away so without an option people keep it all in houses. Unfortunately some internal crooks pass in info and that also gets stolen. It's definitely someone known who has done it, never reveal things to anyone no matter how close people are to you. We are already in undeclared recession, things like these will happen more and more anymore..be safe..

You need not worry if you earn the money through fair means. Govt. will take your money if your money is black & you do not pay any tax & you can not explain the source. If your money is black, no point in crying. God has punished you for your wrong doing.

O Deva... bank lockers are not available... If available also, I think, as one of the employees said that one must give deposit amount of rs. 25,000/- apart from the yearly interest. I may be wrong in furnishing these details... If someone knows regarding this can enlighten the readers by clarifying the same... I don't use gold...😇

Yes.. In the meantime we too should not reveal the outsiders about your possession of gold by wearing it... and that too this time where everywhere taking place of robbery has become very common... ! Wear very minimum or artificial or nothing.. "Niraabharana sundaris" are always beautiful... Hard earned money simply went in vain.. Very sad
