He addressed a gathering after giving away degrees to Konkani Natak repertory, Kalakul students for the year 2018-19 in 213th monthly programme in Shakthinagar,
Kalaangann on September 1.
Manish Pinto received a prize of Rs 3,000 for excellent student. Amreen, Savita and Sushmita received prizes of Rs 1,000 each with honor for excellent workers. Sushmita Tauro, Savita Saldanha, Amreen D’Souza, Manish Pinto and Flavia Mascarenhas who completed their training of one year successfully were honored with Rangabhoomi degree. Sherlene D’Souza Permannur, Akshay Monteiro Manjeshwar, Jeevan Siddi Mundagod and Sujaya Natasha D’Souza Valencia were selected for the year 2019-20. Savita Saldanha, Amreen D’Souza, Flavia Mascarenhas and co-trainer Gurumoorthi V S were selected for continuation from last year.
Kalakul sponsors for 2019, Gilbert D’Souza on behalf of nonresident entrepreneur Michael D’Souza, Mandd Sobhann gurkar Eric Ozario, president Luvi Pinto and secretary Kishore Fernandes were present.
Vikas read the annual report of Kalakul. Arun Raj Rodrigues compered the programme and rendered the vote of thanks. ‘Hanv Konachin’ new Konkani drama was staged later.
