Panaji, Sep 11: Goa’s oldest regional party, Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party (MGP) on Wednesday demanded that Narendra Modi-led government should liberate Pakistan Occupied Kashmir, after their bold decision on Jammu and Kashmir.
MGP, which is the former ally of BJP in Goa, addressing a press conference on Wednesday, has congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi for few of his bold decisions during the hundred days of the second tenure.
MGP leader Sudin Dhavalikar, who was formerly deputy chief minister under Pramod Sawant led government, said that revoking Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir was one of his remarkable decisions during his second tenure.
“After the revocation of Article 370, now the Modi-led government should free Pak Occupied Kashmir and annex it to our land,” said Dhavalikar, whose party had supported Congress during recently held Lok Sabha election.
Dhavalikar also congratulated Modi for Bill on Triple Talaq and significant success in Chandrayaan 2.
The former state transport minister said that Goa should immediately enforce centrally amended Motor Vehicle Act. “This Act is a fall out of four year-long deliberations by various state transport ministers. It should not be made redundant, though several opposition parties are against its implementation,” he said.
