Bangalore, Jul 5: The day train service between Mangalore-Bangalore will begin this month, assured union minister of state for railways K H Muniyappa adding that the date will be fixed once the report on technical aspects and route safety.
Muniyappa explained that as an assurance to begin the project was provided during the interim budget, the announcement was not made in the just concluded budget. There is no doubt with regard to the implementation of the project, he stressed.
Minister informed that no decision has been taken on the matter of starting a high speed train service between Bangalore-Chennai. The project is awaiting technical report in this regard, he said.
