Kasargod, Jul 5: District police here have taken into custody six Omani citizens, who did not possess valid documents.
Six Omani nationals were staying in a lodge near the new bus stand here and based on information by a room boy who grew suspicious of the six, the police took the six into their custody. On investigation it was found that they had no valid documents.
Police said that on interrogation Omani nationals have been maintaining that the travel documents and passports were in Mumbai. However, police added that they will be released if they would produce the required document and added that they were on a visit to Kasargod with the help of a resident from Cherkala.
