Kaup, Sep 5: The body of Yashoda Nayak (80), resident of Muttakallu near Sadambailu in Belle village near Bantakal, Shirva, near here was found in decomposed condition on Wednesdaym, September 4.
Yashoda was found lying in lifeless state on a cot inside her home. Going by the total decay, it is estimated that she would have died four to five days back.
The woman was living alone. She would have died either because of infectious diseases or age-related ailments, it is said, going by the fact that the gold ornaments she was wearing were intact.
Shirva police, who registered a case in this regard, disposed off the body with the support of well-known social worker from the town, Soori Shetty, and some local people.
