New Jersey, Sep 3 : As announced in these columns earlier, MCA- Mangalorean Catholic Association of East Coast, started 10 years back, is all set to celebrate the success of 10 glorious years spent as one community, one culture by promoting Konkani language, tradition and Mangalurean culture.
To mark this glorious unit, MCA has announced 'Kevin Misquith Live' Konkani musical entertainment along with guest singers Norbert and Nancy Pereira, also young singer 'Voice of Arabia' fame Vanessa Saldanha.
Kevin, the young singer-composer, who has recently completed his 50th musical nite in Town Hall in Mangaluru has performed Konkani live shows internationally including London, Dublin, Toronto, Kuwait, Dubai, Muscat, Saudi Arabia and other countries.
The event will also mark the traditional nativity fest celebrations. Noted personalities and guests are expected to attend the event from different parts of United States of America.
On the occasion of decennial event, three personalities from the community will be honoured for their contribution to society. Dr. Austin D’Souza Prabhu for outstanding contributions to Konkani literature, Ivan Fernandes from Dubai for enabling entrepreneurship to Mangalureans globally and Walter Nandalike for connecting Mangalureans through Daijiworld Media.
President of the association Clayton Monis has appealed community members to participate in large numbers and be part of the celebrations.
