Bangalore, Jul 1: State high court in its judgement on Tuesday June 29 has ruled that employees of private aided schools who have passed the prescribed Kannada language examination too are eligible for an additional increment, which is available to only government employees at present.
Justice Abdul Naseer pronounced the above judgement after hearing the petition filed by Aloysius D’Souza along with 572 others. State government has been providing an additional increment to government employees who pass prescribed Kannada language examination and hence it is not right to deny employees of private aided school of this benefit, he ruled and upheld the petition filed in this regard.
As the parameters for the appointment of both the government employees and employees of the private aided schools are similar, discriminatory attitude while providing increment is not right, ruled the court.
