Udupi: Youth walking by highway killed by unidentified car

Udupi, Aug 27: A speeding car took away the life of a person walking by the side of national highway 66 opposite Mahalasa Oil Mill at Chempi near Sastan on Monday August 26.

The deceased has been identified as Vijay Poojary from Padubail, Karkada. No details of the killer vehicle except that it was a white colour car, are available.

Vijay was lying down with serious injuries by the roadside after the accident. He was taken to Manipal hospital and then brought to the government hospital at Udupi. He passed away on Monday.

The victim has left behind his parents. A case about this demise was registered in Kota police station. The police are trying to identify the vehicle that caused this death.
