Mangaluru: Parish bulletin editorial board of Aang celebrates 35 years

Mangaluru, Aug 26: A get-together was organised by the editorial board of the parish bulletin Aang, on August 25 to celebrate the completion of 35 years of its publication. The invitees included writers, patrons, ward gurkars and other persons associated with the parish bulletin.

Albert Lasrado, editor of Aang welcomed the gathering.

Juliana Mascarenhas, took the gathering down memory lane with a brief history of Aang.

Chief guest, Wilfred Lobo, editor of Catholic Sabha mouthpiece Amcho Sandesh, spoke on how to write articles and presented useful tips on what to write and what not to write.

Benedict G Veigas, publisher of Aang for 34 years, was felicitated on the occasion. In his presidential address, the parish priest, Fr William Menezes, thanked B G Veigas for his role in the successful journey of Aang all these years. He also urged the parishioners to come forward with write ups for Aang and improve their writing talent.

The stage was also graced by the vice president of the parish council, Roshan Patrao and editor, Albert Lasrado. Roshan Patrao presented the vote of thanks.

Robin Vas compéred the programme.

The programme concluded with a sumptuous dinner.
