Bengaluru, Aug 26: Former additional superintendent of police R Ramesh breathed his last here on Monday, August 26.

R Ramesh had been admitted to BGS Hospital in the city and was under treatment for the last 15 days. He breathed his last after not responding to treatment.

A 2005 IPS batch officer, R Ramesh had been promoted to DIG rank and also served in Home Guard and Civil Defence department.

He was also DCP of CAR and Bengaluru Crime department. His contribution towards Mysuru police school will always be remembered.
