Mangaluru, Aug 26: Raviraj Hegde, president of Milk producer’s federation said that Rs 580.42 crore is disbursed among milk unions to encourage dairy farming during the 2018-19. He addressed a gathering of members held on August 26.
The turnover of the federation was Rs 815.66 crore and profit was Rs 699.82 lac during the year. The meeting decided to pay 12% dividend to shareholders. He said that the federation is thinking of buying back empty milk packets after use.
The directors, members and staff have decided to donate an amount not less Rs 25 lac to recent flood victims in the state. Milk and blankets are already being distributed among those who are facing problems in Belagavi and Bijapur due to floods, he said.
President Raviraj Hegde, vice president S Prakashchandra Shetty, directors Kaup Diwaker Shetty, B Niranjan, A Jagadish Karanth, K P Sucharita Shetty, Hadduru Rajiv Shetty, K Narayana Prakash, Padmanabh Shetty Arkaje, S B Jayarama Rai, B Sudhaker Rai, Sudhaker Shetty, Narasimha Kamath, Subhadra Rao, Smitha R Shetty, Savita N Shetty, B Saleem, horticulture department deputy director Jayaraj and federation manager G V Hegde were present.
Director K P Sucharitha Shetty thanked the representatives of the unions for being present.
