Sullia: Senior journalist Chandresh Goradka breathes his last

Sullia, Aug 26: Chandresh Goradka, a well-known senior journalist from here, breathed his last at 2.30 am on Monday, August 26, at the young age of 48.

After being identified with liver-related disease, Chandresh had been admitted into hospital about a month back. He was treated at K S Hegde Hospital at Deralakatte Mangaluru for three weeks. As his liver was found damaged and kidney had failed, at the advice of the doctors, he had been brought back and admitted into K V G Hospital here a week back.

Chandresh began his career as journalist with 'Suddi Bidugade' publication. He then functioned as editor of 'Payasvini' publication and worked as the executive of Shree channel at Sullia. Since the last some years, he had distanced himself from journalism, and was working elsewhere. He also had functioned as book vendor. He was a former president of Sullia taluk working journalists union.

In recognition of his meritorious service to journalism, he was felicitated by the working journalists union. After accepting the felicitation on Tuesday, Chandresh Goradka had got admitted into the hospital on Sunday.

Chandresh has left behind wife, two sons, three brothers and a sister.
