Hyderabad, Aug 25: The Cyberabad police have arrested a Chennai based techie who disrobed more than 600 girls from 16 states in the guise of giving them jobs.
The accused is Clement Alias Pradeep (33), employed in a well known software company in Chennai. Police have arrested him on the basis of a complaint lodged by a local girl.
Clement used to pose as a human resource officer of a five-star hotel with an intention to exploit the girls. He has confessed during questioning that he has cheated more than 600 young girls from Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra and Delhi.
“Clement is a married man and was working on night shift in the software company. His wife used to go to work in the morning. He used to obtain telephone numbers of girls from e-classifieds to pass boredom. He used to later telephone them on pretext of job interview, after gaining their trust used to get videos of them stripping and later used to blackmail them for his wild pleasure,” said a police officer.
He used to pose as HR of a popular five-star hotel and make calls to the telephone numbers obtained by him. He used to tell that the hotel has asked him to employ beautiful girls and he found their number during the search and wants to conduct an interview. Most of the girls used to feel that the call was genuine as Clement had excellent English vocabulary. He used to say that the second interview will be conducted by his female colleague.
After gaining the trust of the young women, he used ask them to send videos of them without clothes and say the employing company is very particular about the girl’s beauty. He used make Whatsapp calls, during which the women were asked to strip. However, he recorded the calls using software.
Once, he obtained a video or photo, he used to start blackmailing the girls. He has collected several lacs using this modus operandi. “Clement used to save the videos using a password. His mobile phone will be sent to a laboratory for further investigations. We will be able to get more details after detailed investigations,” said the police officer.
