Udupi, Aug 22: On the fourth day of Srikrishna Janmashtami celeberations undertaken under the aegis of Sri Jagadguru Moolamahasamsthanam Sri Hrishikeshateertha Peetam Paryaya Sri Palimaru Math on Wednesday August 21, a meeting programme was organized at the Rajangana of Srikrishna Math.
In his benedictory address, head of Paryaya Palimaru Math, Sri Vidyadheeshateertha Swamiji, noted that people come seeking the refuge of Lord Srikrishna with mixed aims. "There are good people and there are bad ones, but the Lord has the capacity to differentiate between good and bad. The people visiting the temple with bad ideals outnumber the good ones. People should drop their evil ideas and visit the temples with noble thoughts. Lord Krishna showers his blessings on the people depending on the spiritual achievements of the individuals. He himself assesses the level of services rendered by individual devotees and allots marks to them. We just have to surrender to his judgement," he stated.
The Swamiji further said that Lord Srikrishna was the one who linked the earth with the celestial world. "He belongs to the lunar lineage. He came here from his abode high above at the invitation of goddess earth, to shield good people," he explained.
Junior Swamiji of Admar Math, Sri Eshapriyateertha Swamiji, speaking on the occasion, urged the people to always imbibe Krishna consciousness in them. "Lord Krishna endows the devotees approaching him with right knowledge and decimates ignorance. He is always ready to correct us, but we have to turn toward Him for that to happen. Moreover, we should have the willingness to receive such knowledge. We should serve the Lord by conveying whatever we know to noble people," he advised.
Palimaru Math junior Swamiji, Sri Vidyarajeshwarateertha, in his benedictory message, said that people will find it hard to attain salvation unless they crave for it. He said that Lord Krishna does what he likes the most and advised devotees to do things which please the gods to attain their goals in religion, finance, desires and salvation sectors.
