Bengaluru, Aug 22: MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, who was nominated as the new state BJP president, was congratulated by Priyank Kharge, leader of the state Congress party through a tweet.

Priyank Kharge's tweets says, "Congratulations to Nalin Kumar Kateel, who has assumed the new position of state BJP president. All the very best." However, Priyank's tweet has become a hot topic for discussion in the political circles of the state.

BJP national president Amit Shah has sent out an order nomination Nalin Kumar Kateel as the state BJP president of Karnataka state. The former BJP president B S Yediyurappa has now assumed the position of chief minister. According to the ideals of BJP one person can occupy only one position. Accordingly, the post of state BJP president was taken back from Yediyurappa and was given to Nalin Kumar Kateel.

Admirers of Nalin Kumar Kateel, who arrived from Cochin to Mangaluru by train, welcomed him through garlands and shawl at the Mangaluru Junction railway station and carried him on his shoulders and celebrated his elevation to the post of state BJP president.
