Mangaluru: Catholic leaders urge police to act against Robert Rosario

Mangaluru, Aug 21: Mangaluru diocese senate, diocese citizen committee, All India Catholic union and Catholic Sabha, Mangaluru deanery, have submitted separate complaints to Mangaluru city police commissioner, deputy commissioner and deputy superintendent of police against a person identified as Robert Rosario for spreading false propaganda against community leaders.

It is alleged that Robert Rosario has been spreading propaganda against former Bishop of Mangaluru, Dr Aloysius Paul D’ Souza, diocese secretary, advocate M P Noronha, and priests, by issuing false statements repeatedly in social networks that have the potential of sowing the seeds of hatred between different religions.

The complainants have urged the police to initiate urgent action against Robert Rosario.

Mangaluru diocese senate secretary, Fr J B Saldanha, delegation director Fr J B Crasta, diocese citizen awareness committee vice president, Roy Castelino, MCC Bank president, Anil Fermai, community leader Sushil Noronha, All India catholic union president, Lancy D’ Cunha, Karnataka state Catholic Union secretary, Deepak D’Souza, Catholic Sabha central committee president, Rolph D’ Costa, Victor Correa from Catholic Sabha, Stany Alvares and others were present.

Mangalore Diocese is one of the best dioceses we have in India. Reckless false allegations are made against all priests which is totally unfair.
M.P.Noronha advocate is one of the best intellectual and sincere advocate . Myself and several of my friends have first hand experience of him. It is unfortunate that false allegations are made against him for monetary gain.

Comments should be carefully made after pondering on & deliberation of charges recorded by Mr. Robert Rosario. There has to be truth to some extent, although I don't know the charges leveled by Robert. My parents did suffer because of favoritism shown by some clergy in this Diocese. Do they follow the Ten Commandments? Ever since Vatican Council liberalized church teachings, clergy has become more liberal. Does issuing a statement about a person maybe a Bishop or a priest amount to creating enmity among religions? As an advocate in my opinion at the highest order it can be defamation which is a non cognizable offence.Why are the affected persons not releasing a statement and exposing him if something is wrong. The Pope has said who are we to judge. At least the religious should practise that.

Those offended by this guy's alleged false statements take libel action in the courts and, meanwhile, get an injunction from the court prohibiting false allegations, if they believe the allegations are false and demeaning.

In simple terms - Man's idols are too much addiction to power, money, pleasures, wealth, And Also.........popularity, cinestars, sports (stars), materlism, one's or others strength, beauty, intelligence all these worldly things one often worship in excess instead of worshipping one true Living God, which are also against 1st commandment of God.

Instead Father Invites one and all to follow His Ten Commandments and His Will to gain one's Salvation. Rest everything in the message.

Better late than never. Finally the Catholic leaders have woken up to curb the nasty, false and fabricated accusations against the Catholic Church by Mr. Robert Rosario and the like.

I was just wondering as why the Catholic community is allowing such worm to go on for such a long time without challenging?
Already lot of harm has been done by this worm Robert Rosario. People of this kind take advantage of the peace loving and forgiving nature of true Catholics.
Wish you good luck. I pray the evil be eliminated from our Society.
