Beltangady, Aug 12: Dakshina Kannada Working Journalists’ Association president Srinivas Nayak Indaje submitted a request to chief minister B S Yediyurappa in Dharmastala for monetary help to the family of private TV channel Video journalist Nagesh Padu who had died of dengue recently.

The chief minister who responded immediately announced a compensation of Rs five lac from the state government.

Mangaluru MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, Belthangady MLA Harish Poonja, Dakshina Kannada deputy commissioner Sasikanth Senthil and BJP state executive member Ravindra Shetty Ulidottu were present.
