Mysuru, Aug 12: Former chief minister of Karnataka, H D Kumaraswamy, said that at the time of his paving way for Yediyurappa as chief minister, the state's coffers had between six to eight thousand crore rupees. He urged Yediyurappa to spend this money to mitigate problems faced by the poor people without bringing politics into play.
Kumaraswamy, who has undertaken tour of flood-affected areas in the state, speaking to media persons here on Sunday August 11, was reacting to Yediyurappa's recent statement about the financial condition of the state not being stable. "When he took over charge of this state, he had said that the financial condition was stable. Howe can he change his stand so fast? The state is not facing any funds crunch now. The only thing is that he has to work efficiently," he remarked.
Kumaraswamy noted that Yediyurappa has become chief minister after lot of hard work. He said that flood relief has been posing a huge challenge for the new chief minister and wished that he will handle the situation well.
