Kasargod, Aug 12: The annual festival of St Lawrence Church Permude was held on Sunday August 11. Various programmes were organized on the occasion. The Holy Eucharist celebrated on the occasion was led by the chief priest of Kasargod varado and priest of Bela Our Lady of Dolours Shrine, Fr John Vas. Priest of St Lawrence Church Permude, Fr Melvyn Fernandes, Fr Sunil Lobo from Kollangana and Fr Sunil D'Souza from Ukkinadka were present.

Before the Holy Eucharist, holy candles were distributed.

The generator that was donated to the church was inaugurated by Fr John Vas by delivering benedictory address. ‘Permudecho Parjal', a souvenir brought out on the occasion of the inaugural of the new church at Permude was released by Fr John Vas. Fr Melvyn Fernandes, Fr Sunil Lobo Kollangana, Fr Sunil D'Souza Ukkinadka, editor, Laveena Preeti Crasta, church parish council vice president, Cyprian Denis D'Souza, and secretary, John D'Souza, were present. Fevina Eshwi Crasta compeered the programme.
