Goa CM asserts power supply to be reinstated in two days

Porvorim, Aug 10: On Friday, chief minister of Goa, Pramod Sawant asserted that power, water and road connectivity will be reinstated within two days.

After the flood hit the village areas of Bardez, Bicholim and Pernem, power supply got disrupted. According to the chief minister, electricity department was working hard to resolve the problem power outage. He announced that the water-level in the flood hit areas has gone down.

A chief minister's relief fund was also created so that flood affected families can be provided help. Meanwhile, the chief minister stated that accurate assessment of loss is not possible, apart from the one loss of life which was reported in Valpoi.

As per sources, 150 families have been evacuated and 80 people have been rescued from villages of North Goa.
