Karkala, Aug 8: Parivartana service association and Udupi district panchayat will be holding workshops for students of high schools and pre university colleges in Belman district panchayat limits about teenage years and social networks. “The workshops will be held from August 9 to August 14 in different educational institutes in Belman,” said district panchayat member Reshma Uday Shetty.
Speaking in the office of Patrakartara Balaga in Belman on Wednesday, she said that the workshops are being held due to regret that teenage children are following wrong paths misusing the internet.
“The workshop will be inaugurated in Belman pre University College at 10 am on August 9 and at Belman Laxminarayan international school at 3 pm. Workshop will also be held at Sooda government high school on August 10 at 10 am and at St Joseph high school at 11.30 am. It will be held at Inna M V Shasri high school on August 13 at 11 am and Mundkoor Vidyavardhaka pre University College at 2 pm. A workshop will also be held in Nitte NSAM pre University College, on August 14 at 2 pm,” she said.
“Udupi Baliga hospital psychiatrist Dr P V Bhandary, JCI national trainer Rajendra Bhat, Roopashree Rathnaker, Dr Saujanya Shetty, Jyothi Madhava and Jyothi Mahadeva will be the resource persons,” she said.
Karkal taluk panchayat vice president Gopal Moolya, taluk panchayat member Asha Devendra Shetty, former taluk panchayat president Bola Jayaram Salian, Bola gram panchayat president Sathish Poojary and Chandrahasa Shetty of Kisan Sangha were present.
