Udupi: Heavy rain at Mumbai disrupts movement of trains

Udupi, Aug 6: Movement schedules of several trains have been thrown out of gear on account of heavy rain in Mumbai region.

Train number 22149 Poorna Express from Ernakulam to Pune leaving on August 6, Jamnagar Express (19577) from Tirunelveli to Jamnagar leaving on August 5, Kerala Sampark Kranti Express (12217) from Kochuveli to Chandigarh leaving on August 5 and Netravati Express (16345) from Kurla to Thiruvananthapuram on August 7 have been cancelled.

The trains which leave Mangaluru like, Matsyagandha, Netravati Express and other trains to Mumbai are moving about normally. No problem was encountered in Konkan railway route. There was landslide in Mumbai division, said Konkan Railway Corporation public relations manager Sudha Krishnamurthy.

Mangala Lakshadweep express train on August 5 was diverted via Thrissur, Shoranur, and Salem.
