Udupi: Scooters distributed among physically challenged beneficiaries

Udupi, Aug 3: Udupi MLA Raghupathi Bhat distributed scooters to physically challenged beneficiaries out of 5% funds of the council at Udupi municipal council auditorium. The three wheelers distributed to seven beneficiaries on August 3 at 3 pm were worth Rs 4,26,930 at the rate of Rs 60,990 each.

The beneficiaries were N Sukesh Budnar, Jaya Poojary Kalmady, Nikhil Shetty Moodubettu, Anil Aroza Perampalli, Kalu Shettigara Kodavoor, Gladson D’ Souza and Ganesh Mooduperampalli.

A meeting of officials of Karnataka housing board and waste management was held later. The MLA asked officials to prepare a DPR.

Council president Anand Kallolikar, assistant executive engineer Ganesh, waste management board’s Sripada, Karnataka housing board junior engineer Harish, municipal council junior engineer Durgaprasad, architect Yogish Chandradara and officer Narayana S S were present.
