Bengaluru, Aug 3: Rebel JD(S) MLA H Vishwanath, who was disqualified by the Karnataka speaker, announced his retirement from active politics.
“I will not contest in the Vidhan Sabha elections henceforth. I am disappointed by the uncertainty in state politics and will not contest in assembly elections and will not return to politics,” he told media on Saturday, August 3.
“Siddaramaiah and H D Kumaraswamy were responsible for cracks to appear in coalition government and its failure. We are not responsible. When I was a Congress MP, people from within the Congress had prepared to complain to the high command with false accusations to expel me. The matter was informed to me by K C Venugopal himself,” he alleged.
“Siddaramaiah used to insult me in one way or the other. I was working as JD(S) state president only for namesake. The candidate suggested by me was not issued ticket in local elections in Mysuru. After all the insults, I resigned out of disgust,” he told news reporters.
