Mangaluru, Aug 3: The valedictory programme of Journalism Course - 2019 was held on Friday, August 2 at Sandesha Foundation for Culture and Education, Premnagar, Bajjodi.
Bishop of Mangaluru Dr Peter Paul Saldanha presided over the function and gave the message that through the media people connect minds and hearts. “We always rejoice at the truth. Journalism is a service that building up to the discovery of truth. Our society is disturbed by falsehood. We need to make others life meaningful. Through journalism we make others life meaningful.”
Fr Richard, director of Canara Communication Centre, Said, “As journalist whatever we learn should not be forgotten. So we are called to proclaim the truth to the world. Journalism is a noble task.”
Fr Francis Assisi D’Almeida, director of Sandesha was present.
Shrikara Bandarkar spoke on media it is widening its horizon. “There is a passion for printed media in the world,” he said.
Avni and Joel shared their experience being a student at Sandesha. Sr Janet Sequeira compered the programme. Sr Sonal welcomed the gathering. Sangana delivered the vote of thanks.
