Karkala, Aug 2: A demonstration of planting paddy saplings called 'Neji' was held in the paddy fields of Netravati Shetty, near Kedinje Shivanetra Printers. The programme was jointly organised by Abbanadka Durgaparameshwari Friends Club and Kalya Government High School under Swachh Bharat Summer Internship on Monday, August 1.

Nandalike Abbanadka Friends Club president Rajesh Kotian, convener Abbanadka Sandeep V Poojary, founder president Vittal Moolya, Abbanadka Sathish Poojary, vice president Harish Poojary, secretary Prashanth Poojary, treasurer Hariprasad Acharya, Anand Poojary, Dinesh Poojary Beerottu, Suresh Poojary Kasrabail, Dhananjay Kulal, Balakrishna Madival, Sandhya Shetty, Lalita Acharya, Harini Poojary, Veena Poojary, Harinakshi Poojary, Sunil Kulal, Sunita Pinto, Ashwini, Arati and others were present.

The programme which aimed to introduce students to agriculture was successful and appreciated by all.
