Moodbidri: Chain snatching duo arrested by police- Gold ornaments, bikes confiscated

Moodbidri, Aug 2: The police of the town have arrested two persons on the accusation of snatching of chains at three places and also attempted theft at one place. The cops have confiscated two bikes, gold ornaments and other things from the arrested.

The arrested accused are identified as Dinesh, a resident of Moodumarnadu and Yogish Acharya, who aided Dinesh in the acts. Police have confiscated two bikes, two mobile phones, two golden chains and one set of earrings. The total worth of the confiscated goods is estimated to be Rs 1.73 lac.

It is said that the accused snatched chains at Muramelu and Alangar and attempted theft at Valpadi. Moodbidri action SI Anantpadmanabha, sub-inspectors Dejappa and Krishna and other personnel took part in the operation, which was carried out under the guidance of police commissioner.
