Ballari, Aug 2: In an incident which happened on Thursday August 1 afternoon at Medara Kethayya Nagar here, a woman killed her two children before hanging herself. The victims of this heart-rending incident happen to be Lakshmi (24), her son Udaya (3), and daughter Bhoomika (18 months).
It is gathered that Laxmi had a fight with husband Veeresh, on the issue of lunch prepared for the day. She was hurt by this fight.
Laxmi patiently waited for an opportunity when no one was at home. Initially she killed her two children by drowning them in water-filled drum. She then hanged herself at her house.
In connection with the incident, the police took into custody Laxmi's husband Veeresh, who works as supervisor for construction workers.
