Mangaluru, Jul 26: The Father Muller Charitable Institutions Celebrated the festal mass of its patron saints, Joachim and Anne (parents of Mother Mary and grandparents of Jesus Christ) on July 26, 2019 at 7.30 am. With the heaven’s open, with a down pour of rain, the festivities of the patron saints began with a festal mass led by Fr Dr Ronald Serrao, Rector, St Joseph Seminary, Jeppu as the main celebrant.
In his Homily Fr Ronald highlighted the importance of the family and the institution of healing and comfort. The parents of Mother Mary were known as humble and virtuous people who fervently prayed to God. They were childless and St Anne was past the child bearing age, but through devout faith in God bore a girl child, Mary. He preached that one must rely on God and never lose faith, because it is the essence of all healing. The Father Muller Charitable institutions have been and will be carrying forward the mission of healing and comfort with its able Directors and Administrators. His underlying message throughout the homily was of healing and comfort, which is engraved in the banner of the institution. He prayed that the Almighty heal and comfort all minds and bodies working or being treated in this institution.
