Yellapur, Jul 25: MLA Shivaram Hebbar, who had resigned and was camping in Mumbai has exploded a new bomb in the state political circle by saying that he has acted upon the instructions of Congress legislature party leader Siddaramiah and he is not in touch with the BJP party.
Speaking to the media in the city, Hebbar said, "We are not in touch with the BJP leaders. There is no relation to the recent political developments of BJP forming the government in the state and us. We have resigned only for the position of MLA. We are still in the Congress party and have kept the distance as per the instructions of Siddaramaiah."
The statement of Shivaram Hebbar has caused turmoil in the political circles of the state. People are thinking whether Siddaramaiah has played a stellar role behind the curtains. However, during the trust vote, leaders of the Congress party, including Siddaramaiah have issued a strict warning saying that they will not take the dissident MLAs into the party at any cost. The statement of Shivaram Hebbar seems contradictory to what the leaders of the Congress party are saying.
Shivaram Hebbar further said, "We have given our resignation letter to the speaker. Once the resignation is accepted, we all will come to a decision, based upon the verdict of the speaker. Siddaramaiah will be our leader forever."
Shivaram sought apologies from the people of his constituency and said that he is also sick of the political developments of the past month. But due to unavoidable circumstances, he has resigned.
