Panaji: Lifeguard agency warns people against venturing into sea, rocky areas and cliffs

Daijiworld Media Network - Panaji

Panaji, Jul 12: The Goa state appointed lifeguard agency Drishti has warned people against venturing into the sea and avoid rocky areas and cliffs for the next few days due to heavy rains and strong winds.

Firmly advising people against venturing into the sea, hills on the shoreline and also shallow waters, Drishti stated that these are very slippery during the monsoon season when wave height intensity and frequencies are very high.

Drishti urged that adults should keep a very close watch on children on the beach and not to allow them to venture into waters unattended, no matter how shallow it may be.

The lifeguard agency in its advisory said, "One can easily get washed away. All rocky areas including those in and around Anjuna, Vagator and Tiracol are out of bounds during the monsoons.”
