Panaji: Directorate of Women and Child Development to constitute non-official advisory body

Panaji, Jul 11: To help special police officers in the implementation of Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act 1956, Directorate of Women and Child Development has decided to constitute non-official advisory body for North and South Goa.

As reported in TOI, the member, to be appointed in the non-official advisory body, should have the required qualification to work with children and women in the field of education, health or welfare activities; or the member should be a practicing professional with a degree in child psychology / psychiatry / social work / sociology / human development / law or the member should be a retired judicial officer or retired Government servant.

The special police officers will call the members as and when they need to assist in the implementation of immoral Traffic prevention Act, 1956. The member shall not be entitled to any allowance and their services will be on voluntary basis.
