Kasargod, Jul 10: In a tragic incident, a speeding car hit a bike at Manikkoth, Kanhangad here on Tuesday evening killing the bike rider.
The deceased is identified as Vellikoth resident Abhilash (26). The speeding car had hit his bike, seriously injuring him. Though he was rushed to the hospital, his life could not be saved. Abhilash was employed in wiring work. Hosadurga station police have registered a case.
In another similar incident, a car has hit a bike at Mogral, Puttur national highway on Tuesday evening. A plus two student died and the bike rider is seriously injured in the incident.

The deceased is identified as Mogral resident Amman (17). Mogral resident Munasir (22), employed in a petrol pump at Peruvad, Kumble who was riding the bike is critically injured. He has been admitted to Kasargod private hospital.
The two on the bike were thrown to the road, when the car hit the bike seriously injuring both of them.
Amman was admitted to Mangaluru private hospital but died without responding to treatment. Amman was class 12 student in a private college in Kumble.
Kasargod police have registered a case in this connection.
