Mangaluru, Jul 8: “Mud gives health, wealth and peace. Mud has the power of Ayurveda, witness of truth. Our elders lived on agriculture. The real wealth of the land is of mud, the life of perspiration,” said MRPL chief manager Veena Shetty. She addressed 125 students on life of cultivation to 125 students.

The programme held as part of the tenth anniversary of Radio Sarang, St Aloysius College was inaugurated by former minister Abhayachandra Jain. Jnana Shakthi Subrahmanya temple managing trustee Shasheendra Kumar performed puja.

Tulu Koota Kudla president B Damodar Nisarga presided over the programme.



St Aloysius pre-university college financial director Fr Vinodulfus S J spoke. Chief guest advocate Madhukar Ameen, Govind Dasa college principal professor Shivashanker Bhat, Kadambodi Mahabala Poojary, Haleangadi gram panchayat president Jalaja, former president Vasanth Bernard were present.

Lion Vijayku Markubevur, Lion Yashodhar Salian, Lion Basker Salian, K K Pejavar and Dharmapal compered the programme. District Rajyotsava awardee Chandrashekar, model former Vasanti Devadiga, national service project organiser Prathiksha were felicitated.

Center president Ganesh Ameen welcomed everyone. Jayanti Sankamarvandi rendered the vote of thanks.
