Udupi, Jul 2: Udupi-Chikkamagaluru MP Shobha Karandlaje on Tuesday, July 2 visited Nitin Gadkari, minister for Road Transport and Highways and urged him to hasten the development of various road works in the constituency.
Shobha requested Nitin Gadkari to look into the proceedings of extension work of Karavali bypass to Malpe road, Parkala to Theerthahalli, which connects many important places of Udupi-Chikkamagaluru constituency.
The MP also requested the minister to take action for the development of Belur-Chikkamagaluru road that connects the tourist places of the district. She discussed with the minister regarding the development of Shringeri-Balehonnur-Aldur-Nadipura road and also Thirthahalli-Nemmar road.
Shobha also requested the minister to resolve the issues faced by commuters on national highways of the constituency.
