Udupi: District Police Presents Cash Award to Kumta ASI

Udupi, May 17: The district police department on Friday May 15 felicitated the key personnel who succeeded in nabbing the accused in the robbery case of Kambadakone Raitara Vyavasaya Seva Sahakari Bank, near here, recently. 
 
Superintendent of police Praveen Madhukar Pawar presented Kumta assistant sub-inspector Chandrashekar Nayak with a cash award of Rs 10,000 from the police department, while the bank also awarded a cheque of Rs 1 lac.  
 
Deputy superintendent of police Jayant Shetty and Manipal circle inspector B G Achar were also present on the occasion. 
 
District police department also honoured regional transport officer (RTO) Omkareshwari, range forest conservator Palayya, Kundapur assistant commissioner (AC) Ramesh, for facilitating peaceful Lok Sabha polling.

    Very good award for catching the thives if the police do not catch the robber then who will? See Udupi RTO does not have new licence cards or books. RTO police do not know the road rules......... Many accidents take place because lack of driving skills while obtaining the licences. Is there reverse parking, Pocket parking, S forward and reverse drive, highway driving test while giving the licence in DK and Udupi? The new BJP Government must shed light on this.
