Mangaluru Jun 22: Centre for Advanced Learning (CFAL) student Shreyas Pai has been declared as the topper in biology Olympiad camp held at HBSCE, Mumbai and Samarth Bhat has secured a place among the top ten in Chennai Mathematical Institute entrance exam.
Addressing media here on Saturday, June 22, Severine Rosario, programme coordinator, CFAL said, "It may be recalled that CFAL has produced magnificent results in the past few years in the KVPY, NEET, IIT Hyderabad, JEE main and JEE advanced, IISER, BITSAT, K-CET exams. However, this year we have tasted tremendous success as many of our students have successfully reserved their seats not only in the top institutions of the country, but in the world. Our student Shreyas Pai is the biology Olympiad topper from India. He has his seat approved by 10 of the top universities in US and UK. In India he has been offered a seat in Indian Institute of Science in Bengaluru.
“Samarth Bhat has secured fabulous results in various competitive exams and is one among the top ten students to score in the Chennai Mathematical Institute entrance exams and is a KVPY scholar and will hence receive the scholarship in addition to a free seat at CMI. Aneesh Hebbar was a part of the math Olympiad camp for 2 years and has got a seat for himself at the Indian Institute of Science apart from a seat at the CMI. He is eligible for KVPY scholarship as he had secured All India Rank (AIR) 92 in the said exam.
“Anush Moger has secured a seat at IISC, Bengaluru. He is eligible for KVPY scholarship and has excelled in the JEE main advanced exams as well. Vishnu Bharadwaj has secured an AIR of 426 in AIIMS, AIR 220 in JIPMR and AIR 1359 in NEET. He is eligible for seats in several top medical colleges in the country. He was AIR 35 in KVPY 2019 and also selected in biology Olympiad (NSEB). Suraj Samaga is the JEE advanced, 2019 topper from CFAL and is planning to join an IIT at Mumbai, Delhi and Chennai, she said.
“Shravan Singh Mehra is AIR 225 in KVPY and is yet to decide between IISc, IIIT, and BITS Pilani. Vignesh Ravichandra is thinking of joining IIT though he has many other options. Chaithanya Shyam is yet to decide between IIT, IIIT Bengaluru and NIT. Agney Gautham Raj was a part of the biology Olympiad camp at HBCSE competing with 11th and 12th standard students, which is great feat for a boy of his age. He has two more years to try his luck at the international Olympiad.
