Bengaluru, May 30: Mulbagal MLA, Nagesh, and Ranebennur MLA, R Shankar, both of whom are independents, are seen in different camps on different dates. They have kept the leaders of the coalition government on the tenterhooks with their changing behaviour and switching of loyalties.
Both these legislators were seen in the company of the government camp where they promised to back the government. Before that they had met Siddaramaiah to lobby for ministerial berth. On Wednesday they were seen at the residence of Ramesh Jarkiholi in the company of Congress MLA from Athani, Mahesh Kumathalli. Their changing stands have kept the leaders guessing.
It is said that Kumaraswamy and deputy chief minister, Dr G Paraeshwar, had tried to appease Jarkiholi through Kumathalli but their plan did not succeed. Jarkiholi said that he does not require any lures and that he would not accept the ministerial berth. He asserted that there is no going back in his decision to leave the Congress.
In the meantime, it is gathere that the above two independent MLAs reportedly promised Jarkiholi that they would be bound by whatever decision he might take in the issue.
