Bengaluru, May 23: Karnataka chief minister, H D Kumaraswamy, in a message given to the people of the state on the occasion of the government completing one year in office on May 23, said that his government has implemented a number of people-friendly schemes within a year since it came to power. He added that he is happy at his government being identified as the one that has been positively responding to the aspirations of the people.
"We have been responding to the problems the farmers are going through and the loan waiver scheme is being implemented in a transparent manner. We have waived loans of 15.5 lac farmers already. Loans of all eligible farmers will be waived during this financial year without fail," he assured.
Kumaraswamy said that his government has been making efforts to improve the financial condition of the state by creating employment, developing second tier cities, and improving basic infrastructure. "We have been honestly trying to improve basic facilities in schools and improve quality of education, and the results so far achieved have kindled our hope," he added.
The CM said that the government has been continuing with the ambitious schemes introduced during the Congress administration and that the government aims to create a new model of people-friendly rule. He thanked all the colleagues of his cabinet, father and former Prime Minister, H D Deve Gowda, party leaders, Rahul Gandhi, K C Venugopal, Siddaramaiah and others. He said he hopes to continue to work in a similar fashion for the remaining term of four years.
