Udupi, May 23: The coalition government of Congress and JD (S), under the leadership of chief minister H D Kumaraswamy and DCM Dr G Parameshwar is going to complete one year on May 24. First time in the history of Karnataka Congress and JD (S) have given people-friendly administration by forming a government based on the values. Ravi Shetty Byndoor, leader of district JD (S), congratulated the coalition government on this achievement.
In his message Ravi Shetty said, "For the first time in the history of the state the government has implemented people-friendly schemes like the waiver of Rs 48,000 crore of farm loans, increase of old-age pension, six month payment for pregnant women, Badavara Bandu scheme for street vendors, employment surety for youngsters, priority for the protection of women and minorities, dedication towards development of Bengaluru, shelter for the life of agriculturists, determination for new agricultural schemes, support price and offer of marketing, support price for milk, and schemes that are complimentary to the life of daily wage labourers."
Ravi Shetty congratulated the leaders and workers of both JD(S) and Congress who provided a good administration in the midst of natural calamity, drought, drinking water issue and scarcity of resources. He wished and said, "Let this government work more for the people in the remaining four years of the term."
"BJP, which is the official opposition party in the state, has utterly failed to work as a constructive opposition party. It has spent time in bringing the coalition government down and not given any attention other issues bothering the people of the state. They have to give answer to the people of the state for wasting a year's time in spite of having 104 MLAs. They have to ask the forgiveness of the people of Karnatka," concluded Ravi.
