Kundapur, May 21: A lorry driver was arrested on charges of raping a seventeen year old girl twice at Cherkadi within Brahmavar police station limits. The accused is identified as Kaup resident, lorry driver Arda (23).
Arda is said to have been working as lorry driver along with a Cherkady based lorry driver and used to visit their house every now and then. Arda who used to stay at their house sometimes has allegedly raped their seventeen year old daughter. The mother of the miner girl has lodged a complaint in this connection at Brahmavar police station. The mother saw the incident on Monday night and came to know of the rape once in the past.
Brahmavar police on the basis of the complaint by the mother of the victim arrested the suspect and produced him at Kundapur court which remanded him to judicial custody.
