Kundapur, Apr 4: Ex-Prime Minister and JD(S) supremo H D Deve Gowda exuded the confidence, that his party will emerge as a strong contender by winning over ten Lok Sabha seats from the state, in the ensuing eleetion. He was speaking to reporters after performing Chandika Homa in Kollur Mookambika temple on Friday April 3.
"By winning three seats out of eight in the last assembly by-election, the JD(S) has shown its potential to the people of the state," he added.
His wife Chennamma and son and ex-minister H D Revanna also participated in the Chandika Homa. district JD(S) president Deviprasad Shetty, general secretary Jagadish Yadiyal, Byndoor Block JD(S) president Nityanand Rao, temple trustee Sablady Manjaiah Shetty, Srikant Adiga, G M Cheriyabba and others were present.
