Bangalore, Apr 3: The Election Commission has taken serious note of the revocation of suspension of Shadakshari, personal secretary of chief minister B S Yeddyurappa.
It may be recalled that Shadakshari had been suspended after the Election Commission got a complaint that he had organized a function to celebrate his promotion in Shimoga. He had invited teachers and others to the function, in which allegedly Shimoga candidate Raghavendra, planning commission vice-president D H Shankaramurty and ex-MP Ayanur Manjunath addressed them, seeking votes for the BJP.
The Election Commission has asked the deputy commissioner of the district to submit a report on the circumstances under which the suspension of Shadakshari was revoked.
