Mangaluru, May 3: A team of police personnel led by assistant commissioner of police has succeeded in arresting a person accused of chasing a married woman and harassing her at a desolate place.
The arrested accused happens to be Muhammed Sahil (25), residing in an apartment complex at Jeppu here. He is a native of Uppal. He was accused of pestering a woman who was alone near Talapady Pilikoor.
The woman was travelling toward Talapady from the city by her scooter. Sahil reportedly followed her by his scooter and blocked her movement at a deserted spot near Pilikoor in Talapady and harassed her.
The woman then called her husband over her cellphone to narrate to him about the incident. At this, the accused escaped, the woman said. A case in this regard was registered at Ullal police station.
